In a strong show of support for the Palestinian people, Rapid KL has announced extended train services tonight to ensure smooth transportation for the thousands expected to attend the “Himpunan Solidariti Bersama Gaza” rally at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.
The Bukit Jalil LRT station, the nearest stop to the venue, will remain open until 12:30 a.m., with additional trains deployed to accommodate the anticipated surge in passengers.
To further support attendees, several interchange stations across the Kelana Jaya, Ampang/Sri Petaling, Monorail, Kajang, and Putrajaya lines will also operate beyond their usual closing hours. While other stations will still close at normal hours, commuters will be allowed to disembark at any station even after official closing times.
Passengers are strongly encouraged to use Touch ‘n Go cards or buy return tokens in advance to avoid long queues. For real-time updates, commuters can check Rapid KL’s social media platforms or the PULSE app.
More Than Just a Ride — A Nation Stands Together
This rally is more than an event; it’s a resounding message of solidarity from Malaysians across the country. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is expected to attend the rally, urged citizens to join in unity, not only in support of Palestine’s struggle for sovereignty but also to honour the activists who participated in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) — a mission to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
“Let us come together in one voice, shoulder to shoulder, to demand freedom, dignity, and sovereignty for Palestine,” the Prime Minister stated.
Tonight’s rally is a reminder that standing for justice begins with showing up. From the transport operators to the people attending, every effort matters. In a world too often divided, moments like this remind us what it means to be human, compassionate, and united.
