PETALING JAYA – With a warm heart and hopeful spirit, Chinese President Xi Jinping stepped onto Malaysian soil once again—this time carrying the dreams of another 50 golden years of friendship between China and Malaysia.
On a heartfelt three-day state visit, Xi shared more than political intentions. He shared memories, emotions, and aspirations for the future.
“Twelve years ago, I visited Malaysia and left with cherished memories. Today, returning fills me with warmth,” he said, speaking not only as a leader but as a friend.
This visit is not just about protocol and politics—it’s about people, respect, and shared hopes. Xi emphasized his excitement to meet with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to discuss how both nations can continue working hand-in-hand. Their talks will cover more than diplomatic matters—they will explore ways to bring their people closer, to collaborate on global issues, and to stand united in an ever-changing world.
“I believe our efforts together will make this a meaningful visit,” Xi said sincerely. “Together, we will turn the page to a new chapter in our relationship, and begin another 50 golden years of harmony and cooperation.”
He didn’t forget to highlight the unique bond between the two nations—good neighbours linked by the sea, with a friendship stretching back over a thousand years. “Ours has always been a relationship built on equality, respect, and mutual growth,” he reflected.
Xi also pointed to the shared role of China and Malaysia as strong voices within the Global South. “Strengthening our strategic partnership is not only in our best interest—it’s a contribution to regional peace and global prosperity.”
President Xi’s plane touched down at KLIA’s Bunga Raya Complex at 6.48pm on Tuesday, greeted warmly by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. More than an official arrival—it was a reunion of friends, and a moment charged with hope for the future.
As Malaysia welcomes Xi with open arms, the shared journey of these two nations continues—with history behind them, and golden years ahead.
